Cuando por razones de construcción la lubricación con aceite no es posible, o no se requiere una función de enfriamiento, casi siempre se emplean grasas. Una grasa lubricante es un aceite tratado con un espesante. El espesante actúa similar a una esponja que bajo presión suelta líquido. Sin embargo, la película lubricante de una grasa siempre es más gruesa que la del aceite base solo.
Grasas para una lubricación de larga duración bajo críticas condiciones de funcionamiento. El lubricante garantiza una protección eficaz contra la continuación de la fricción y el desgaste y la lubricación punto sellos contra las influencias externas como la humedad y materias extrañas. Las grasas se utilizan a menudo en rodillos, ejes, accesorios, sellos, guías, sino también a cadenas y engranajes. |
